Hill and Gully Riders Enduro Update: Notes in Blue are new 8/7/08 Little Summer Bummer Enduro August 9th: Pays points for District 14, 15, 16, & 17 This will be a closed course enduro, we will have approximately 10 mile course. This course will follow Closed Course AMA Enduro rules (so there will be resets in the woods) and checks potentially every mile. Keytime is 2:00pm (CST - Chicago Time) Sign up will start at 10:30am - 1:30pm Gas will be at the start for this event. No headlight or street legal bike required for this event. There will be different course lengths based on C / B / A / AA rider status. Bring a new rider or your HS / MX buddy to this event and show him the fun of enduros. Saturday’s
course is all brand new trail that has not been run since last year.
Trail is tight and twisty. The
weeds and brush have grown high. Club
spent many days out cutting the brush and sawing down trees. Bring
a watch for those who do not have a computer… we will have
“strategically” placed mile markers to tell you when to start and stop
based on you row number. The
local natives are ready to cheer on their racers! We
have lots of volunteers signed up so there will be many checks and OBs for
Saturday. Forecasted
temperature for Saturday is 77 degrees. Summer Bummer Enduro August 10th: Pays points for District 14, 15, 16, 17 Traditional Enduro Rules (Timekeeping format) Keytime 10:00am (CST - Chicago Time) Sign up with be Saturday 7:00pm - 8:00pm and Sunday morning at 7:00am - 9:30am Course will be around 55 miles in length. Gas will be away from the start for this event, a gas trailer will be provided, or pit crew can go to stop Headlight and taillight are required for this event. It is the riders responsibility to be street legal. We
have 8 wood sections with special test. We have plenty of resets in
between each section to get riders back on time. We
have lots of volunteers signed up so there will be many checks and OBs for
Sunday. No
need for expensive Enduro computer… there will be check in and check out
for each section and we will provide detail route sheet with turn to turn
markers with time. Forecasted
temperature for Sunday is 78 degrees.
