    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://midwestenduros.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=86">hcdmn</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> Pine Cone<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 24 July 2008 at 9:05pm<br /><br />Heading up to the Pine Cone tomorrow night.&nbsp; The kids are ready to ride (after the washout last race).&nbsp; <br><br>Did I mention a KTM50 with an Auto clutch and gooey mud don't mix?&nbsp; The bike actually gathered enough mud in the wheels, chain, spokes, etc. that the clutch just slipped and we boiled her over 1 1/2 miles in.&nbsp; The bike just would not move - even after our futile attempts to dig it clean with sticks and setting it in a few water puddles.&nbsp; We were making great time - every time he got stuck I just bumped him with my front tire to get him going again.&nbsp; But I was real sore: seemed like we ran a national not less than 2 miles. We got their early to get a good number but the earliest they would give us in B class was minute 54&nbsp; <img src="http://midwestenduros.com/forum/smileys/smiley35.gif" border="0" align="absmiddle" alt="Censored" /><br><br>We were sad because Matthews is great trails - now we have to wait until next year.&nbsp; <img src="http://midwestenduros.com/forum/smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" align="absmiddle" alt="Cry" /><br>]]>
