Heading up to the Pine Cone tomorrow night.  The kids are ready to ride (after the washout last race). 

Did I mention a KTM50 with an Auto clutch and gooey mud don't mix?  The bike actually gathered enough mud in the wheels, chain, spokes, etc. that the clutch just slipped and we boiled her over 1 1/2 miles in.  The bike just would not move - even after our futile attempts to dig it clean with sticks and setting it in a few water puddles.  We were making great time - every time he got stuck I just bumped him with my front tire to get him going again.  But I was real sore: seemed like we ran a national not less than 2 miles. We got their early to get a good number but the earliest they would give us in B class was minute 54  Censored

We were sad because Matthews is great trails - now we have to wait until next year.  Cry

Muddobbers Motorcycle Club are hosting a D-14 Family Enduro Series event and their annual "dual sport" trail ride at the covered bridge in Matthews IN this coming weekend (July 12/13).  Both events promise to be great fun.  The trails used are some of the best in central IN.  The club always does a great job.
 
The Family Enduro is open to anyone.  The "dual sport" is really a trail ride on the club's excellent fall enduro trails.  Knobbies are recommended.  Big adventure bikes are not appropriate (unless you're a glutton for punishment).

The Family Enduro Series is having a motorcycle raffle.  In November, we will be drawing a ticket for a new motorcycle.  The winner will have the choice of a 250 four stroke - KTM or Honda.
Linwood Cycle Sales in Linwood, MI is providing the motorcycle and The Michigan Forest Products Council is sponsoring the raffle.  The proceeds will go to the Family Enduro Series.
The tickets cost $20 and will be available at the enduros in Michigan and Indiana.  Checks can be written to The Family Enduro Series, Inc. and mailded to 2250 Haslett Road, Williamston, MI  48895.  If you would like to improve your chances of winning, you can buy more than one ticket.
 
If you feel you may be able to sell 20 tickets to your friends and family, please give me a call to discuss.
